Noob question

Technically I don't even fall into the noob category. I have been tasked with using foxpro for a project at work. I have zero experience with vfp. The version we have is 9. The only books I can find detail what is new for version 9. is there a book out there for the absolute beginner that is still relevent to version 9? Most of the how to books I have found are for versions 3 or 5.

Thanks for any help.
p.s. If you could give me the ISBN # to look up that would be extremely helpful.

Check hentzenwerke.com for VFP books. I think most of them are still relevant. A good book for beginners is

The Fundamentals: Developing Applications with Visual FoxPro with VFP 6.0, by Whil Hentzen. Sorry I don't have the ISBN.

I've been messing around with Google Print a little bit lately to find books. It might be just the thing for you to get a sense for what's out there regarding VFP. Here's the link...
