I reported this earlier, but here's another manifestation. If I (as a moderator) go in to change a comment to a question, and I forget to put in a comment describing the change, I get the comment field highlighted as being needed (good), but the original message is gone from its edit box (bad). So you have to go back to the original message and start over.
