Editing a sticky post does not preserve the sticky flag. You must reset the sticky flag each time you edit a sticky post.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll look at getting a fix for this in the next service pack.

Either this didn't happen, or it is broken again. Edits or replies to sticky (or announcements) posts still cause them to lose their "sticky" parameter.

What is the status of this bug?

Thanks,
Phil Brammer

I did find the original bug that was fixed in 2005, but there appears to be another issue we are fixing for our service pack release (SP4) this spring where an announcement becomes a regular post if replied to by a moderator. That is probably the issue you are seeing but please let me know if I may be misunderstanding the scenario.

Thanks!

This is a post where a user replied to it, changing the status of the announcement to non-sticky: http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1229371&SiteID=1

You can see by my editing comments that I had to adjust the sticky flag several times.

Thanks for the example. I will point our dev team to it.
